Found a tumor on the left breast during shower
Diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma ER -, PR-, ＆HER2 + Grade 2、Size: 2.4cm
Lymph nodes biopsy: positive
1st regimen: neoadjuvant chemotherapy (Before surgery) with Taxotere,Carboplatin,HerceptinSide effects: nausea, fatigue, loss of hair, taste change, muscle aching, fever, etc.
Stopped the 1st regimen and decided to have the mastectomy due to the result of the ultrasound, which indicated the chemo might not be effective.
Mastectomy & Lymph nodes dissection
Pathology report: The Breast cancer tumor 2.5 cm
13/21 lymph nodes were cancerous
The effect of the chemo therapy was minimal
the 2nd regimen: Navelbine+Herceptin
Side effects: Tingling & numbness of toes and fingers
Found a new lump in the left armpit
Lymph node biopsy surgery:3 removed lymph nodes were all cancerous
The 3rd regimen : Herceptin and Tykerb (5 tabs/ day)
Side effects: diarrhea, nail disorder,& skin rash
Diagnosed with Lymphedema
tapered the dose of tykerb from 2 to 5 for 4 months. After then continue 5 tabs
PET Scan: Negative
PET/CT scan : positive “Interval development of mediastinal hypermetabolic lymphadenopathy, most likely metastatic disease.
Bronchoscopy biopsy: positive
The 4th regimen : Herceptin+Tykerb+Taxol
Side effects: diarrhea, UTI, peripheral neuropathy, water retention, muscle pain, & skin rash
Insert a port
CT scan: Decreased in the size of the adenopathy
CT scan: No significant adenopathy NED (No Evidence of Disease)!
The 5th Regimen: Herceptin+Tykerb+Xeloda (5 tablets)
Side effects: diarrhea, hand-foot syndrome, muscle clamps, dry skin, & nail disorder
The 6th Regimen: Kadcyla (T-DM1)Side effects: muscle pain & body stiffness)
CT scan: stable, continue NED!
CT scan:A 3mm new nodule is found and 9mm old nodule is stable but slightly more irregular in shape
Reduce the dose of T-DM1 to 83% due to the low platelets counts
CT scan: the 3mm nodule is not identified. The 9mm nodule is stable
The 7th regimen : Herceptin + Perjeta
due to the side effects: declining platelets and elevating liver enzyme AST
CT scan: mediastinal lymph nodes appear slightly more prominent. Possible abdominal varices.
Interval increase in size of mediastinal lymph nodes.Stable varices.
The 8th regimen: Herceptin+ Perjeta+ Taxol
CT: Mildly improved. The largest lymph node is about 12mm.
CT: stable The largest is 9mm
CT: nodules in the right lungs were mildly enlarged. These could be metastatic
The 9th regimen: Herceptin+Perjeta+Xeloda
CT: Interval increase in size of the metastases in the right lung upper lobe.
Going back to Kadcyla (T-DM1)
CT scan: progression in the lungs
After 5 weeks of break, start 11th regimen: Herceptin+ Abraxane
CT: Interval enlargement of mediastinal and the right upper lobe lesion. Newly noted 9mm lesion.
Adding oral drug, Afinitor to Abraxane & Herceptin
Progression in the size and numbers in the light lung
13th regimen:Adding Tykerb (1000mg/day) to Abraxane & Herceptin
