My Spirit is High Again

L.A. has had such a beautiful weather yesterday and today.  I heard in Tokyo cherry blossoms are fully open, and here also, many colorful flowers convince me that now it is spring.

Welcoming George’s mom and Aunt Bobbie, we as a family went to the  P.V. Country Club near the church for lunch yesterday.   Neat lawn, a pond, woods, and the ocean behind them were so clearly shining under the bright sun that it made me think that I might meet the rabbit of Alice in the wonderland.  It was just therapeutic.

As George and I are not good at taking care of plants, our yard is dry with patches most of time, but today George found 11 green lemons on a lemon tree.  Maybe because of lots of rain or George’s pruning the tree.

Either way, this is exciting!

Aunt Bobbie is the first person that influenced George to become Christian.  This was the 2nd time for me to see her though she sends me a Bible verse everyday through e-mail.

“God’s love is way beyond our imagination…and that God is living here (pointing to her chest) even if you don’t feel it.  So you don’t need to worry anything.  Just keep praying  and keep  faith as He told us to do so.  This is His game and He knows the best for us.”

Listening to her, who is full of confidence in Jesus, my heart was lifted up.

This afternoon, walking Pepper, our beagle, I told her,

“ Pepper, Mom feels so good. I can’t believe I have still cancer.  I got a new vision, too.  So let’s live long!”

Tomorrow’s PET scan is scheduled at 2:30 but nuclear medicine will be injected at 2:00.  I have to stop eating 6 hours before the procedure.

My spirit is high again and I have peace, hope and joy in my heart.

I may get down again if the result turns out bad, but it’s ok.  God will raise me up again if I pray.  Because HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

  1. It was George’s skillful plant care, inherited from so many Japanese, that cause the lemons to burst forth (at least in George’s opinion). When life gives you lemons…

  2. LOVE THE PICTURE. OUR CHURCH IS IN PRAYER OVER THE PET SCAN. WE KNOW GOD IS STILL ALIVE. WE LOVE YOU AND CONTINUE TO KEEP YOU LIFTED IN PRAYER.
