Lump was Fluid Collection

I arrived at the hospital image center at 8 am.  As I went to the exam rooms, George told me not to worry even if the result was bad. I said, “ I’ll be fine.  I’m with God,” with a smile and then we exchanged the words,” God is good,” “All the time,” bumping our knuckles, as usual, with each other.

Even while I was waiting for the doctor coming with the result in a dimly lit exam room without window and alone, I had peace in my mind.

Then finally he came in saying, “ It is a fluid collection. There are two lymph nodes also but they are normal size. “

HALLELUJAH!  IT WAS NOT CANCER!

I was confident that God would take care of me no matter what the result was, but what a relief this good news was!  As I asked why the previous needle biopsy failed to withdraw any fluid, the doctor answered that probably the needle didn’t hit the right region without an imaging monitor.  He also told me I didn’t need to do anything with the lump unless it grows bigger, and if I want to know whether the leftover two lymph nodes are clear or not, a PET scan would be recommended.  I’d like to discuss this with the oncologist on the next visit.

Navelbine Leaks

After the ultrasound, we went to the oncology department for my chemo.  Today’s therapy, which was only Navelbine, was supposed to be just a 30 minute procedure, but on top of that we had to wait for about two hours because the drug was not ready, at the end of injecting Navelbine, my hand where the needle was inserted, started hurting and as the saline flush followed, the region became swollen red. Removing the needle quickly, the nurse brought me a hot pack.  A couple nurses and a pharmacist came to see how I was, but  after an hour using the hot pack, it got better, so I was allowed to go home with an instruction to continue this heat treatment for next 48 hours and come back on Thursday to see if everything is ok.

It was a long day, but I am thoroughly thankful for God who saved me again!  GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

  1. I do believe that God is walking by your side. Even as a strong Christian, it is natural to have doubts or fears. Because you have been so giving to others’ needs, God is keeping a special eye on you. You are constantly in my prayers and thoughts. Be strong, my friend. Fondly, Pat S.
