Welcoming New Year

The unforgettable year 2010, when I was dropped into turmoil, but also received so many blessings, was over.  George and I made a toast with champagne as TV showed the 2 million people in N. Y. cheering after the traditional count-down for a New Year. Being overwhelmed that we could make it to the New Year, we had tears of joy.

I don’t know how to thank all the people who have been concerned about me, encouraged me, supported me, and prayed for me, but this is an amazing experience and nothing but grace.

The first day of 2011 passed quietly and on the 2nd day I renewed the joy to welcome the new year, having our sons, Roy and Soh, our daughter-in-law, Pinky, and Roy’s girlfriend, Jen, over with Japanese traditional New Year’s dinner.

I don’t know what is waiting this year, but I hope my skin got tougher and my faith is stronger so I can keep running through this storm and beat the cancer!

12/30 with Mr.and Mrs. Sato at church. Mr. Sato had a heart transplant 3 years ago and they came from Japan to encourage me.
